Innovation “Vario” queen-sized sofa bed base, in excellent used condition.

The larger components of the base are made of a combination of black powder-coated steel and wood, while the legs/armrests are made of chrome-plated steel tubing.

This flexible, stylish, convertible queen-sized sofa bed base can be used in three different modes (click on the pictures below to see a larger image):

Bed: When flat, the base functions as a queen-sized base for use with either a futon or traditional mattress:

Sofa: With the base folded along the centerline lengthways, the base quickly converts into a sofa (when used with a sufficiently flexible mattress such as a futon mattress):

Lounger: With the head end elevated, the base can be used as a lounger for watching TV etc. (when used with a sufficiently flexible mattress such as a futon mattress):

Originally purchased new in 2006 for $455 from Furniture in Soho on Houston Street in Manhattan, I am now selling this base for just:

The base is dis-assembled into five separate pieces for easy transportation, and will fit into most vehicles with fold-down rear seats (hatchback, wagon, sedan etc.).
