I’ve always wanted to visit New Orleans, but perhaps now I never will — at least, not the famous “Big Easy” that’s existed for almost 300 years. The devastation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina is almost unbelievable, with potentially thousands dead, a complete evacuation of remaining survivors for months, and talk of relocating it to a new place altogether.

How is an entire city, almost 300 years old and home to almost half a million people, relocated!?
